September gathering

As September 21, 2006 approaches the Bracher family would like to extend an invitation to all who would like to mark that day with us in Pensacola Florida. A time for all of us to be together, to celebrate Scott. If you are not able to come please feel free to contribute a note here.

The girls and I wish so much we could join you all to remember Scott. I remember Scott on my wedding day to his cousin Frank. He was so young, he was so tall! All he talked about was playing baseball. He was all decked out in his catcher's gear! He was way too cute!

We hope to see you all soon, our thoughts are with you...Love, Sandy, Frank, Jacquelyn and Anna Pagliughi

I miss you. It is hard to know what to say besides that. Somedays I am just happy to have met you and others I am so sad. Thank you so much for being you and being such a great friend. I truly treasure you and miss you all at the same time. Love you, Tara

So wishing we could be with you guys tomorrow. Please know we're thinking of you. Dave has lots of pictures up in his room, and he wrote today telling me that the Maulers are going up to the O-9 Level of the carrier tonight to smoke cigars and talk about memories of Scott and Tom. Dave talks about Scott all the time, and when I went to visit him in Singapore in early August we were both thinking how great it would have been to have had him in port as well...especially when we passed a local "beatbox" competition on the street...he would have won! A year later and they are not forgotten - they never will be. We'll be there with you in spirit tomorrow, as I know Scott is everyday.

Scott,

Yes, the Maulers did invade and take over the porch outside the Admiral’s bridge on the O-9 level on USS Enterprise last night after flight ops. Mauler Officers, CAG, DCAG, and even the Admiral made it to smoke cigars and share some beers (near bear, anyway) in your honor. We took a great picture, and when I get some decent bandwidth, I’ll post that your site. Skipper had some meaningful words for us and CAG praised us for how well we’re doing as a squadron and how we continue to honor you and Tom. Gotta tell ya, tales of you at the blackjack and craps tables in Curacao drew some big laughs.

Greg, Lorraine, and Todd, you have our thoughts and prayers today and always.

Blessings,
Rosey

Bitches,

You'll be glad to know that your legacy lives on. We have a wardroom full of JO's that remember your "optimistic character" and do their best to repeat it, day after day...

You are missed, my friend,

Not a day goes by that I do not think of Scott. My wife Mary and I just got back from vacation in San Diego and thought of him as we drove past Miramar Base. Scott was always there for me no matter how far away he was from me. He always made you feel like the most important person in the world when you were around him. I can't believe its been a year since Scott passed away. One thing that's for damn sure - his spirit and his enjoyment of life will never leave and will always be with us.

Mr. Bracher, Mrs. Bracher, and Todd - you are always in mine and Mary's thoughts. The theme of Liverpool Soccer Club in England is "You'll Never Walk Alone" Your family and your friends will make sure of that.

Scottie,

I know you would have been proud. Mom arranged a wonderful day which got US ALL through it. Now I know where we both learned determination!

Familiar and new faces, joined as one... for you, for us and for each other.

In the middle of the sadness we are still fortunate.

Love you. T
