Hi. I was walking my daughter in the park by the Gazebo in Malverne today and I noticed the trees planted there and the memorial to Scott Bracher. As soon as I read the name I was flooded with memories of a boy I went to elementary school with who had blonde hair. Then I remembered his mom, her face was etched in my mind for some reason. Was she a teacher in our elementary school? I couldn't remember. I grew up in Malverne, and went to Linder Place and then to Herber. I am only friends with one person from that time in my life. Now as an adult, after many years away, here I am back in Malverne. I live with my parents and my one year old daughter. I wanted to find out more about what happened to Scott, and if he was in my class when I was small. Then I found this blog, and realized that I must have gone to school with Todd, yes. that's right. Now I remember. I'm really so sad to hear about your brother. I'm glad that you have this blog to celebrate his life. From the pictures I can see that he certainly loved living and had an adventerous spirit. My name is Anna Cullen and my daughter is Maya. Just wanted to post to let you know that I was thinking about you and your family. I will honor and think about your brother everytime I pass that tree in Malverne. :-)
